Maybe They Knew Everything (pt. II)

This series is based upon my fascination for old folklore and herbalism. I collected different uses of how herbs were used in the old days.
Of course you have the healing aspect of herbs, but I was also hugely fascinated by the magical use of the plants.
How to foretell is someone is in love with you, how to save your cattle from fairies or even how to predict if someone will die or not…

“When you’re walking in the forest and step on ferns,
you have offended the forest spirits and they will make sure you will get lost.
The only way to solve this, is to take off your shoes and put them on wrongly.
Left goes on right and right goes on left.
Only then you will find your way back home or else you shall dwell in the woods forever.”

“He loves me.
He loves me not.
He loves me.
He loves me not.
He loves me.
He loves me not.”

“When you feed the cattle thyme on the night of Yule, they can not be stolen by the faefolk.”

“Place fresh stinging nettles underneath the bed of someone who is sick.
If the leaves stay fresh, then the sick person shall live.
Will they wither, then he shall die.”
