In the summer of 2017 I started doing handpoke tattoos.
Growing up I’ve always been drawing. After years of studying and practicing my skills in drawing and arts I became interested in tattoos. Wearing symbols on skin is pure poetry and brave expression to me. As well as such a powerful tool for healing and personal development.
I then discovered the beautiful craft of handpoke tattooing.
For years I explored this artform, it’s artists and later on techniques and safety preparations. I was lucky to receive a few myself.
Then someone mentioned this might be something I could do as well. I had been drawing with pens for years and although it is not at all the same, a seed was planted in my mind. Such a responsibility is not to be taken lightly. I started learning and interviewing other artists and then, quite some time later, finally began, thanks to a few brave men who encouraged me and were happy to lend me their skin to practice on.
And it was then that I knew this was what I was going to do for the rest of my life.
To draw ánd empower people, one tattoo at a time.
